Ana Linares Montoya (she/ella) graduated from UC Berkeley in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Political Science and a minor in Human Rights. She has interned for Open Immigration Legal Services and facilitated work permit applications, asylum brief drafts, legal document translations, and corroborating asylum claims. She is currently working as the Human Right Center's representative for Asociación ProBusqueda in El Salvador, which specializes in DNA reunification of families affected both directly and indirectly by the civil war. Ana also works with the Health and Human Rights program's Family and Me (FAM) foster care evaluation. Ana was born and raised in Koreatown, Los Angeles and speaks fluent Spanish.
