A.J. Schumann

A.J. Schumann is a digital investigator at the Human Rights Center and early-career professional committed to the documentation of violations in armed conflict. Previously, he worked at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva, where he provided open source analysis to enhance civilian protection efforts in several contexts. Additionally, A.J. is an alumni of the HRC’s Investigations Lab, where he was a co-team lead on projects pursuing legal accountability for violations in Syria. He holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Political Economy with a concentration in International Development.
