Bio

Sophie Lombardo is a third year law student at Berkeley Law, and a researcher with the Technology, Law & Policy Program. At Berkeley Law, she has supported the advocacy work of the International Human Rights Law Clinic on the positive obligations of states to regulate social media platforms, and she has served as an editor on the Berkeley Journal of International Law. Prior to law school, Sophie worked as an open source investigator with The Sentry, where she investigated individuals and entities profiting from violence in Sudan, South Sudan, and Zimbabwe’s financial services, public procurement, and extractives sectors. She holds a B.A. in history from Washington University in St. Louis.
