For Students

There are many ways for UC Berkeley students to interact with the Human Rights Center!

  • Participate in undergraduate and graduate courses on human rights practice, investigations, and more;
  • Join our student-powered Investigations Lab, which trains dozens of students every semester to conduct open source investigations related to some of the world’s worst crises;
  • Apply to our Student Fellowship program (also open to select other UC campus students);
  • Join us as a Graduate Student Researcher or work study student.

We welcome for you to all these opportunities and more, because students are at the heart of the Human Rights Center’s work.

“Since I fled from Egypt, I had been struggling to regain a sense of family and home. I had constantly wished to have some impact on the injustice I had witnessed. In 2016, the HRC changed my life. It has become my home, my family, and my vehicle for justice.”
