Alexey Berlind

Bio

Alexey Berlind is the Fellowship Program and Events Associate Director of the Human Rights Center. He manages the student summer fellowship program, the Center’s oldest and longest running program, which annually recruits and selects diverse cohorts of fellows from departments across UC Berkeley as well as welcoming fellows from partner UC campuses. He also curates and manages the center’s events and thematic event series, manages building operations, and overseas aspects of the Center’s administrative operations. Berlind received his B.A. in Community Studies from UC Santa Cruz and is a fluent Spanish speaker as well as an accomplished jazz musician and Latin percussionist.
